Docking Station

A key fob docking station in a car is a special slot or cradle designed to automatically accept, retain and secure a key fob when driving, while also ensuring transponder identification and authentication. The docking station is typically located in the centre console or dashboard of the vehicle, and provides a convenient and secure way to store the key fob when it is not in use. After the engine stops, the key is released and can be easily removed.

On request, in addition to providing a secure storage location for the key fob, the docking station may also include features such as wireless charging or USB ports, allowing the driver to charge their mobile devices while driving.

A docking station may also include a start/stop button, and for details refer to the paragraph on this product.
