NFC Card Reader

An NFC card reader is a device that allows you to access certain features of your vehicle by simply tapping a compatible NFC card or tag against the reader. NFC stands for “Near Field Communication,” which is a short-range wireless communication technology that allows for secure data exchange between two devices.

In a car, an NFC card reader is typically located in the dashboard or centre console and is used to grant access to certain features, such as unlocking the doors or starting the engine. To use the NFC card reader, you need to have a compatible NFC card or tag, which is usually provided by the vehicle manufacturer or can be purchased separately.

When you tap your NFC card or tag against the reader, the device reads the information stored on the card and verifies your identity. If your identity is confirmed, the car’s systems will grant you access to the features you have permission to use. They can also be used in personal vehicles as a convenient alternative to traditional keys or key fobs.
